The first entry in this week’s post is from the Senior Writer at the Laserfiche ACE Blog, Mehgann Wooster (@LFMeghann), entitled “Are Tablets Taking Over the Workplace?” Wooster lists some very important statistics about tablets in the workplace gleaned from Forrester Research and Information Management professional Christian Walker. A must read if you are considering introducing iPad’s into your enterprise.
Our second popular story comes from GovTech.com, and talks about the success of the Laserfiche iPad app in Wichita Falls, TX. “Tablets Help Court Go Paperless in Texas” details how judges actually use iPads to review cases from the bench. Amazing!
Next on the list is a blog post from a source you may not expect. We found the blog post “3 Reasons a Paperless Office is Good Feng Shui” to be pretty much on target. While we would never consider ourselves experts in the art of Feng Shui, we certainly agree that less paper in the office leads to a more tranquil work-day experience.
Another popular story this week comes from Bud Porter-Roth at the AIIM blog. His article, “Security and the Cloud – Still an Issue?” asks many important questions enterprise IT directors are asking themselves right now. One of his primary concerns is whether giving up connectivity control to a cloud provider is the right move (we think yes!).
We wrap up our first ever Week in Enterprise Content Management with another piece from the Laserfiche ACE Blog. This one, from Simon Poulton, features a video from Kimberly Samuelson, Director of Gov’t Strategy for Laserfiche, entitled, “CIO Vlog: Finding a Way to Say Yes.” The video highlights many important points CIO’s need to consider, while pointing out the pitfalls some CIO’s fall into when searching for a content management solution.
That’s all for this week, we hope you found the links informative and helpful. Have a great weekend!
